 Thomas Edison is one the greatest in the world. He is a person who has made our lives more convenient by issuing numerous patents. For instance, phonogrpaph is one of the famous thing which Edison invented. He is also made electric bulb. The days of Edison's life was the filament of the little light bulb was frequently cut off, so its durability and financial efficiency were not good. Then, Edison started to think about how the filament would last long, a light bulb was invented that significantly improved durability by developing a carbon-based filament. It was the improvement of electricity technology. However, As Edison invented many inventions, there were competiton with other people.

Competition



 Thomas Edison competed with Tesla who who developed the alternating current electrical system. Edison invented direct current electrical system had already been invented and greatly developed, but the disadvantage of the direct current electrical system was that there was a risk of electric shock, which led to cases of electrocution. So, thanks to the safety of Tesla's alternating current electrical system, later all of Edison's direct current electrical systems were replaced by Tesla's alternatived current electrical system.
 As a side note, Edison also competed with Graham Bell regarding the invention of the telephone. However, despite this competition, Edison sometimes cooperated with his competitors.

Baldwin IV of Jerusalem : The Battle of Montgisard
